| | Whois | Provides ownship and contact details for either an ip address or a domain name.
| Reverse lookup
| Takes an IP or a domain name and see which domain name it reverse resolves to. Typically with shared hosting of ip adresses, if you enter a domain name here, you will get back the domain name of the server that is running the shared hosting. | | Mail server test | Checks whether a SMTP mail server is operational and if it is configured to be an open relay.
| Lookup/nameserver tests
| A whole range of tests to check whether a domain is and will continue to resolve correctly. Checking its nameservers are consistant etc.
